Our educational visits offer school groups the opportunity to explore and investigate curriculum themes in the wonders of the woods.

 

We are qualified teachers with over 20 years experience of working with children in schools and offer packages for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

The Hike

A literacy based workshop including a guided trail.

A science and art-based workshop featuring the work of Patrick Dougherty.

Toasting Marshmallows

A poetry-based workshop.

Taking to the Skies

A science and DT based workshop focused on UK birds.

Prices

Prices are per child / based on the number of children (staff are free). Please email or call for a quote.

Accessibility

There is full wheelchair access at the woods with the exeption of some areas. There are accessible toilets and assistance dogs are welcome on the site.

Transport

There is free drop-off and collection for coaches, minibuses etc. Any vehicles stayiong on site for the workshop willhave to pay parking charges to the Forestry Commission.

Supervision

We ask that you send one adult for every 5 pupils in Early Years groups.

For KS1 and KS2 we ask that you bring one adult for every 8 pupils.

We will also always have at least 2 members of TreeHouse staff on site.

Admission is free for accompanying adults and carers for pupils with SEND.

Lunch Areas

In good weather you can use the outdoor picnic areas and tables.

 

In bad weather you can use the indoor cafe facilities at the site.

 

 

Storage

We can allocate you storage for your bags and lunches on the day.
